EastOne announces the completion of a transaction with Pokupon
EastOne, an international investment advisory group, announces the completion of a transaction with Pokupon, a leading Ukrainian group buying company.
The transaction, the details of which are not disclosed in accordance with the confidentiality agreement, is a part of the group’s emerging e-commerce strategy.
Commenting on the deal, Chief Executive Officer of the EastOne Gennady Gazin said: "Over the past several years e-commerce has seen rapid growth throughout the world. Strategic partnership with Pokupon is our first significant step in the Ukrainian e-commerce. We plan to use the existing expertise, infrastructure and our partner network for the development of this and other e-commerce projects."
In his turn, CEO of Pokupon Alexander Lastovskiy said: "The strategic partnership with EastOne is an important step in the development of our company, allowing us to broaden and strengthen our market position, improve our services for our customers and merchants, as well as to launch and develop new projects.”
Group buying service Pokupon is a market leader in Ukraine and Belarus, being represented in 10 cities of Ukraine and 6 cities of Belarus. Pokupon has more than 1 million unique users.
